Job summary

Rain Carbon Inc. is seeking an Environmental Health and Safety Specialist for its Canada facility to ensure safe, compliant, and incident-free operations.

The role supports SH&E principles, protecting employees, contractors, visitors, and nearby communities while advancing safety culture and continuous improvement. Responsibilities include managing safety programs, hazard identification, incident investigations, and coordination with local authorities.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years of progressive experience in Health & Safety roles in Engineering, Manufacturing or related operations environments.
• Minimum: Community College diploma; Preferred: Bachelor’s degree and/or professional designation.
• Experience with incident investigations, regulatory compliance, and safety program management.

Responsibilities

• Maintain health and safety program management through inspections, safety walk-throughs, and employee engagement.
• Serve on the Joint Health & Safety Committee and promote SH&E policies and safety culture initiatives.
• Develop and maintain site-specific safety procedures, standards, and management systems; produce monthly safety performance reports.
• Coordinate with external agencies and ensure emergency drills and response planning are in place.
• Provide advisory support on occupational health, safety, and regulatory compliance matters.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation for audits and regulatory compliance.
