Carlson Construction Group in British Columbia is seeking an experienced Director, Health Safety & Environment (HSE) to lead strategic direction across the Carlson Group. You will partner with executive leaders to establish best-in-class standards, drive regulatory compliance, and foster continuous improvement across multiple business units.

This leadership role demands a proactive safety culture, strong change management, and the ability to balance strategic vision with practical field

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Professional designation such as CRSP, CSP, CHSC, CIH, P.Eng., or equivalent is a strong asset.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and enhance the Carlson Group HSE Management System.
• Lead health, safety, and environmental strategy across all operating companies and locations.
• Foster a proactive, people-focused safety culture with accountability and continuous improvement.
• Serve as a trusted advisor to executive leadership on HSE performance and risks.
• Lead investigations of serious incidents and ensure root causes are identified and corrected.
