Job summary

Emond Harnden is seeking an HR Manager to shape the employee experience and support firm success in Ottawa. This hybrid role combines HR operations, engagement, communications, and organizational effectiveness, with oversight of facilities to maintain a professional workplace.

You will lead payroll, benefits, HRIS and onboarding, advise partners and staff, and drive change initiatives in a collaborative professional services environment. Fluency in English and French is a strong asset.

Qualifications

• Post secondary education in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Business Administration or related field.
• 5–8 years progressive HR experience in a professional services context.
• Ability to build trusted relationships with senior leaders and diverse stakeholders.
• Strong communication, facilitation and influencing skills.
• Experience leading organizational change and communication initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Oversee payroll, benefits, HRIS, employment docs and vendor relationships.
• Develop and maintain HR policies and programs for compliance and effectiveness.
• Generate metrics and insights to support leadership decisions.
• Lead recruitment for staff and professional roles; manage onboarding programs.
• Drive internal communications and change management initiatives.
• Coordinate performance review processes and development planning.
• Oversee facilities and workplace operations and vendor relations.
