Job summary

EllisDon is seeking a Senior Health, Safety & Environmental Coordinator in Canada to lead site safety programs across projects from pre-construction through completion.

You will conduct site orientation, inspections, and incident reporting, ensure compliance, identify hazards, and organize training (WHMIS, Fall Protection, PPE, CPR/First Aid). A BC Advanced First Aid certification and an NCSO designation are preferred. The salary range is CAD 95,000–110,000 per year.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6–10 years of safety construction experience.
• Ability to delegate and influence others to follow safety rules and regulations.
• NCSO designation and knowledge of OHS regulations.
• Advanced First Aid certification for British Columbia.

Responsibilities

• Be responsible for site specific safety orientation, job site inspections and accident/incident reports
• Monitor employees and subcontractors on site to ensure compliance to safety procedures and elevate issues to resolution
• Proactively identify and prevent hazardous situations and take necessary measures to correct them
• Organize and conduct training programs including but not limited to: WHMIS, Fall Protection, Personal Protection Equipment, CPR/First Aid
• Create, maintain, and educate all site staff on maintaining a safety first culture
• Review subcontractors' pre‑construction safety submittals.
• Review and file subcontractors' weekly safety documentation.
• Effectively compile weekly, monthly, quarterly and yearly project health and safety statistics
