Job summary

Flynn Group of Companies is seeking a Senior Glazing Project Manager to join our Winnipeg branch. This role focuses on leading complex commercial glazing projects from pre-construction to closeout, ensuring safety, schedule adherence, and budget control.

Ideal candidates have 8+ years in glazing project management, strong knowledge of curtain walls and related systems, and excellent negotiation and stakeholder management skills. A PMP is an asset; construction-related education is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8+ years of experience managing commercial glazing projects.
• Proven ability to manage large-scale projects ($500K–$2M+).
• Strong knowledge of curtain wall, storefront, and glazing systems.
• Excellent contract administration, budgeting, and negotiation skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex glazing projects from pre-construction through closeout.
• Review contracts, specs, drawings, and project requirements.
• Manage budgets, forecasting, labour productivity, and financial performance.
• Coordinate schedules, manpower planning, fabrication, procurement, and installation.
• Build relationships with clients, consultants, suppliers, and contractors.
• Lead negotiations and resolve project challenges.
• Oversee risk management and change orders.
• Mentor junior team members and ensure safety and quality.
• Act as primary contact for assigned projects.

This role is designed for an experienced glazing professional who has successfully managed large commercial projects and is ready to take on greater leadership responsibilities within a growing organization.

$90,000+ per year - Office Full-time

A Day in the Life

• Lead complex commercial glazing projects from pre-construction through closeout
• Review and interpret contracts, specifications, drawings, and project requirements
• Manage project budgets, forecasting, labour productivity, and financial performance
• Coordinate schedules, manpower planning, fabrication, procurement, and installation activities
• Build and maintain relationships with clients, consultants, suppliers, subcontractors, and general contractors
• Lead negotiations and resolve project-related challenges
• Oversee project risk management and change order processes
• Mentor and support junior project team members
• Ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards
• Act as the primary point of contact for assigned projects

Requirements

• Minimum 8+ years of experience managing commercial glazing projects
• Proven experience managing large-scale projects valued between $500K and $2M+
• Extensive knowledge of curtain wall, storefront, window wall, and commercial glazing systems
• Strong contract administration, budgeting, and negotiation skills
• Exceptional communication and stakeholder management abilities
• PMP designation considered an asset
• Education in Construction Management, Building Science, Civil Engineering, or a related field considered an asset
• Advanced proficiency with project management software including Procore, MS Project, and Bluebeam considered an asset
• Valid driver's license
• Ability to pass a criminal background check
