Job summary

Kabam seeks a Senior Gameplay Engineer to build and maintain advanced gaming systems and tools. You will collaborate with engineers, designers, and artists to shape gameplay across Console, PC, and Mobile platforms in a highly agile Montreal studio.

You will write clean, efficient code, review features, and contribute to tooling and content pipelines. The role emphasizes independent initiative, mentorship, and delivering high-quality, scalable gameplay experiences in a diverse Montreal on-site

Qualifications

• 6+ years in software development, preferably gaming.
• Bachelor's degree in CS/Engineering or equivalent.
• Expert-level experience with C# and Unity3D.
• Shipped titles on Console/PC/Mobile is a plus.
• Experience with source control (Git or Perforce).
• Familiar with Agile/Kanban project methods.

Responsibilities

• Write, test, and maintain code following standards.
• Collaborate with engineers, designers, and artists.
• Review features and provide input on costs and alternatives.
• Debug issues and deliver effective solutions.
• Create documentation for code and projects.
• Develop and maintain gameplay systems and UI tools.
• Contribute to content pipelines and tooling improvements.
• Work in a highly collaborative, agile environment.
