Job summary

Affirm is seeking a senior frontend engineer to drive the frontend strategy across iOS, Android, and Web surfaces. You will work with product engineering teams to implement features, modernize web code, design systems, and architectures.

This role emphasizes building scalable web experiences with React and TypeScript across multiple product experiences. You will collaborate with product management, design, and analytics to ensure technical sustainability, and you will lead by example through

Qualifications

• 8+ years experience developing and architecting web applications using declarative UI frameworks like React or Vue.
• Proficient in JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Experience across multiple teams and leadership in horizontal initiatives.
• Delivers major features and components with a clear technical plan.
• Thrives in ambiguity and understands architecture of large systems.

Responsibilities

• Set frontend technical strategy for a year-long time scale and align with business goals.
• Collaborate across product management, design, and analytics to ensure sustainability and trade-offs.
• Act as a force-multiplier by defining technical solutions and processes.
• Own operations and availability with monitoring, triage rotations, playbooks, testing and on-call readiness.
• Foster quality and ownership by setting code review and design standards and sharing knowledge.
