Job summary

People Corporation in Canada is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to partner with leadership on planning, budgeting and performance management. You will own monthly analysis, forecasting and commission accounting for the assigned portfolio, delivering clear insights to guide decisions.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive experience in Finance/FP&A, preferably in services environments.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field.
• CPA designation preferred; CFA, MBA, or another relevant professional credential is considered an asset.
• Advanced Excel skills (complex formulas, large datasets, modeling); strong PowerPoint; exposure to BI tools (Power BI) an asset.
• Strong business acumen and judgment; connect financial results to operational drivers and recommend actions.
• Excellent time management and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Adaptable and comfortable with change; able to work in a dynamic environment.
• Clear, concise written and verbal communication; able to present to management levels.
• Collaborative team player with ownership and continuous improvement mindset.

Responsibilities

• Own monthly financial results review for the assigned portfolio, explaining variances.
• Analyze revenue streams and operating drivers; assess in-year and YoY performance.
• Prepare monthly and YTD commentary linking results to business drivers, risks, and opportunities.
• Validate accuracy of monthly reporting; coordinate with Accounting to resolve issues.
• Provide timely, decision-useful analysis and recommendations to Finance and leaders.
