Job summary

Optima Living, a leading Western Canada senior living provider, is seeking a Senior Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis to own budgeting, forecasting, and decision support across our portfolio. You will oversee three-statement modelling, capital structure analysis, and platform governance, partnering with leadership and JV teams to drive profitable growth.

Qualifications

• Five+ years in FP&A, corporate finance, accounting, or related finance role.
• Two+ years in managerial or lead capacity.
• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business, economics.
• MBA or CFA designation is a plus.
• Advanced financial modelling in Excel with scenario analysis.

Responsibilities

• Lead and modernize the end-to-end annual operating budget and quarterly rolling forecast cycles across all communities and legal entities.
• Develop executive-level Board materials and contribute to monthly and quarterly financial performance reporting packages.
• Define and track core operational KPIs, NOI drivers, and fund/portfolio metrics.
• Lead the development of standardized financial models and KPI frameworks to improve consistency, comparability, and decision‑making.
• Lead ad hoc analysis, including what-if scenarios, business‑case evaluation, and strategic recommendations.
• Partner with the accounting and data analytics teams to enhance data capture, reporting infrastructure, and the quality, timeliness, and scope of FP&A insights.
• Lead the implementation and ongoing optimization of the FP&A platform, including system design, administration, reporting governance, enhancements, and user adoption.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of two to three finance professionals, including setting priorities, providing ongoing coaching, managing performance, and establishing strong modelling, documentation, review, and data‑quality standards.
