Cabin Resource Management Ltd. has built a foundation of experience and dedication to quality and innovative solutions in forestry, heritage, wildfire planning, and resource analysis. We are currently looking to add a Senior Forest Technician to our Forestry team.

Responsibilities:

As a Senior Forest Technician, you will be responsible for:

• Leading the planning and layout of road and harvest systems
• Leading all aspects of data management in the field and office
• Ensuring legal, regulatory, and client-specific requirements are met with deliverables
• Providing effective supervision in the field and training for all crew members

Qualifications and Experience:

• An above-and-beyond commitment to safety
• Education in forestry with a Forestry Tech Diploma or Degree
• Registered or eligible for registration with Forest Professionals British Columbia as RPF or RFT (or working towards)
• Minimum of 4 years experience with road and cutblock layout within BC
• Experience utilizing LiDAR data for planning and locating roads and cutblocks
• A strong understanding of forest policy, guidelines, and BC’s regulations
• Experience in steep slope layout, deflection analysis, SP data collection and drafting, riparian assessments, forest health, and surveys
