Job summary
Stantec is seeking a Senior Fire Protection Engineer to join our national team in Canada. You will design and deliver complex fire protection systems for institutional, commercial, industrial, and infrastructure projects across the country, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Fire Protection Engineering.
- P.Eng. licensed in Canada with eligibility for additional jurisdictions.
- Minimum 8 years of fire protection experience.
- Experience delivering projects in institutional, commercial, industrial, or infrastructure settings.
Responsibilities
- Lead design and development of fire protection systems for building projects.
- Perform hydraulic calculations and system sizing per NFPA and NBCC/NFCC.
- Prepare drawings, specs, and reports using BIM, CAD, and related tools.
- Mentor junior staff and guide project teams on technical direction.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and lead project meetings.
- Complete QA/QC reviews and ensure compliance with scope, schedule, and budget.
