Job summary

Quantum Management Services Ltd. is seeking a Senior Financial Operations Analyst to join the finance and operations team on a contract basis in Toronto, hybrid.

The role covers daily AP, expense processing, cash management and financial reporting through month-end closes. The ideal candidate has 3+ years in accounts payable and financial operations, strong Excel skills and experience with ERP systems such as Oracle Financials.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary education in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or a related field; professional accounting designation is asset.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounts payable, accounting operations or financial operations.
• Strong understanding of accounts payable, payment processing, GL and month-end close activities.
• Proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office; comfortable with financial data and reporting.
• Experience with accounting software/ERP; knowledge of Oracle Financials is asset.
• Exposure to invoice matching, bank reconciliations and financial controls is an asset.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; able to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
• Highly organized with ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Proactive and adaptable approach with interest in continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Support daily accounts payable and expense management activities, including invoice processing, vendor records, payment coordination and GL entries.
• Coordinate domestic and international payments, banking activities and cash management requirements.
• Assist with month-end closing processes, including journal entries, accruals, adjustments, variance analysis and reconciliations.
• Perform general ledger and bank reconciliations, investigate discrepancies and ensure accurate records.
• Liaise with external accounting partners and service providers to support timely financial reporting.
• Assist with audit requests, financial documentation and ongoing accounting/projects.
• Maintain and update internal procedures, reporting and financial controls to ensure policy compliance.
• Collaborate with Finance and other departments to resolve payment inquiries, accounting discrepancies and operational challenges.
• Identify opportunities to streamline workflows, improve efficiencies and support financial systems and process improvements.
