Job summary

Vaco Recruiter Services is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join a professional services client in Toronto. The role focuses on budgeting, forecasting, and in-depth financial analysis across multiple subsidiaries with opportunities to improve reporting processes.

Ideal candidates hold a CPA designation, have 6–9 years of experience, and are proficient with Business Central, Prophix, and Concur. The position offers hybrid work with two on-site days and occasional remote work from anywhere

Qualifications

• Requires university degree in Finance, Business Administration, Accounting or equivalent.
• Canadian CPA designation is required.
• Six to nine years of progressive accounting and financial analysis experience.
• Experience with Business Central, Prophix and Concur.
• Advanced Excel skills and budgeting/reporting tools experience.
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills with solid accounting knowledge.
• Residence in Greater Toronto Area and eligibility to work in Canada.

Responsibilities

• Support annual budget development and periodic forecasting for designated departments through cost analysis and financial review.
• Deliver timely analysis of actual results, including variances vs budget, forecast and prior year.
• Prepare financial reports and reporting packages for the organization and subsidiaries, including dynamic reports using Jet Reports.
• Perform timely analysis and reconciliation of assigned accounts and prepare schedules for financial statements.
• Support internal and external audits by preparing working papers and documentation for year-end audits.
• Participate in projects to improve accounting processes using AI-driven solutions and advanced reporting tools.
