Job Overview

Senior Client Solutions Analyst – Commercial Real Estate Banking – Calgary

Responsibilities
  • Provide credit and administrative support to the Real Estate Banking team for a portfolio of loan and deposit accounts.
  • Review all new credits for prefunding conditions, reporting requirements and set up files and diary system for new and existing credit facilities.
  • Coordinate the completion of all documents required for current account onboarding, including Know‑Your‑Client documentation; prepare relevant documentation for funding.
  • Work closely with the business service center on tasks such as fee collection, client maintenance, off‑boarding, payouts and reference letter preparation.
  • Support new client information collection directly from clients and from various sources necessary to assess the client’s risk profile in order to ensure the Bank meets its regulatory requirements related to KYC, AML, etc.
  • Prepare credit files and ensure all relevant documents are filed, funding checklist/advance documentation/draw requests are prepared, liaise with solicitors for legal docs, etc.
  • Look for opportunities to make suggestions to continually improve processes and client satisfaction metrics.
Qualifications
  • Proven administrative experience supporting teams or portfolios in a Commercial Lending Real Estate Banking or Retail Banking environment.
  • Experience working with both borrowing and non‑borrowing clients; borrowing clients typically have complex to sophisticated financial solutions.
  • Strong organizational skills and prioritization skills to manage significant data from multiple sources and balance various tasks from client service administration to borrower reporting processing to credit related support.
  • Strong knowledge of fulfillment processes and roles of partners is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (in particular Excel) is required; some knowledge of Adobe Pro is preferred.
  • High degree of flexibility to adapt to a wide variety of tasks is required.
  • Familiarity with Scotiabank platforms such as Intralink, Free Form Teller (FFT), Business Banking Client Portal (BBCP), Enterprise Documents & Reports Retrieval (EDRR), Salesforce, Shared Document Repository (SDR), PEGA, e‑consent and Trade360 is an asset.
