Job summary

Oak View Group is seeking an Event Manager for the Tribute Communities Centre in Oshawa. You will oversee guest services, security personnel, and smooth communication across departments. Responsibilities include staffing plans, scheduling, payroll input, and staff supervision.

Qualifications

• 3-5+ years of event management experience in stadium/arena/public assembly facility setting.
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years in a Supervisory/Management role within a unionized environment is an asset.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office and related software.
• Knowledge of crowd management and customer service practices.
• Familiarity with facility use contracts and safety regulations.
• Have or be willing to obtain a valid security license.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and communicate staffing plans, event details, and staff briefings.
• Prepare monthly staff schedules and shift availability in line with union agreements.
• Oversee payroll inputs for Event Services and Security personnel.
• Lead and train all event staff, including ushers, ticket takers, and supervisors.
• Maintain equipment, assets, and security of the Event Services dept.
• Ensure exceptional customer service and fan experience at events.
• Write reports and post-event/incident documentation.
