Job summary

Oak View Group is seeking a Concessions Worker at The Tribute Communities Centre in Durham Region, Ontario. You will prepare and serve concession items, pour beverages, and ensure food quality while handling cash and maintaining attendance per policy.

The role pays CAD 17.60–18.35 per hour and is tip eligible under the CBA, with responsibilities across service, stock, and guest interaction.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Three or more months’ experience in the food service industry preferred.
• Previous cash handling experience preferred or willingness to learn to handle cash and operate a cash register.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with a friendly, positive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Conduct the cash register sales by taking orders, building orders, and completing the transaction.
• Build orders, prepare food, and have knowledge of all areas in the concessions operations.
• Maintain stock and communicate low-stock items to the Concessions Stand Manager.
• Listen and respond to customer requests or concerns.
• Keep workspace clean and organized, including disposal of garbage and cleaning dishes.
• Serve beverages to guests, including alcoholic beverages, responsibly.
• Check guest IDs to verify minimum age for alcohol sales.
• Maintain sanitation, health, and safety standards in work areas.

Position Summary

The Concessions Worker prepares and serves concession items to guests. Prepares and pours beverages and serves them to guests. Ensures quality of food presentation. Utilizes a cash register and accepts payment. Must be able to maintain excellent attendance in accordance with the attendance policy.

This role pays an hourly rate of $17.60 - $18.35 CAD and is tip eligible (per CBA).

Benefits As Per The Union Agreement

This position will remain open until December 18, 2026.

About The Venue

The Tribute Communities Centre is Durham Region’s premier sports and live entertainment facility and is managed by Oak View Group. The Tribute Communities Centre is home to the Oshawa Generals of the Ontario Hockey League and the Oshawa FireWolves of the National Lacrosse League, and hosts a myriad of events, including concerts, circuses, ice skating and family shows.

• Check guest’s ID in accordance with provincial/federal regulations to verify minimum age requirement for purchase of alcoholic beverages.
• Maintains sanitation, health, and safety standards in work areas.

Qualifications
