Job summary

Tasu Construction is seeking an experienced Electrical Supervisor to lead electricians and subcontractors on modular and remote projects, while also supporting preconstruction planning and execution strategy. This senior, hands-on role requires a strong leadership presence and the ability to coordinate field activities across Western Canada.

You will oversee field execution, safety compliance, budgeting input, and inspections, mentoring junior leaders and coordinating with project teams.

Qualifications

• Red Seal/Journeyperson Electrician certification is required.
• Supervisory/permit authorisation designation is a strong asset.
• 8+ years electrical construction experience with field leadership.
• 3+ years electrical supervision on commercial/industrial/modular/remote projects.
• Ability to supervise electricians and subcontractors with accountability.
• Strong knowledge of electrical distribution, power, lighting, and controls.
• Ability to read blueprints, diagrams, and construction docs.
• Experience supporting estimating, material take-offs and budgeting.
• Knowledge of Canadian Electrical Code and safety regulations.
• Experience coordinating inspections and project turnover.
• Ability to coordinate with project teams and trades.
• Willingness to mobilize to major project sites (rotational/remote).
• Proficiency with MS Office and digital reporting tools.
• Valid driver's license and clean abstract.
• Legally eligible to work in Canada.
• Physically capable for outdoor construction and fitness test.
• Camp/modular/remote project experience is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Lead, supervise, and coordinate electricians and subcontractors.
• Provide field leadership on major modular and remote projects.
• Support front-end planning, estimating, resourcing, and execution strategy.
• Review tender docs and budgets to support electrical estimates.
• Complete/Review material take-offs, labour forecasts, and manpower plans.
• Read and apply construction drawings, schematics, and specs.
• Coordinate electrical installations, power, lighting, controls, and safety systems.
• Develop daily/weekly work plans with the team and operations manager.
• Support budgeting and cost control by forecasting needs.
• Identify and resolve field issues and trade conflicts promptly.
• Coordinate inspections, testing, commissioning, and turnover.
• Maintain comprehensive project documentation and reports.
• Mentor electricians and junior leaders as the division grows.
• Contribute electrical input to business development and bids.
• Follow safety policies and maintain a safe job site, equipment, and environment.
