Job summary

Ausenco seeks a Senior Electrical Engineer in the Burlington or Toronto office to lead electrical design for HV/MV substations and power distribution systems. You will size equipment such as transformers, MCCs, VFDs, UPS, and batteries, and deliver drawings, layouts, and specifications for projects.

Candidates should have a PE licensure path or be eligible for P.Eng and 10+ years in heavy industry instrumentation and control engineering. Strong communication and mentoring skills are essential.

Qualifications

Degree in Electrical Engineering with strong design background.
Professional Engineering eligibility or licensure within the next year.
Experience in heavy industry instrumentation and control environments.

Responsibilities

Prepare electrical design for HV/MV substations and distribution systems.
Size equipment: transformers, generators, MCCs, UPS, cables, grounds.
Lead electrical discipline activities to meet budget and schedule.
Produce deliverables: single line diagrams, schematics, layouts, and data sheets.
Coordinate with multi-discipline teams and provide mentoring.
