Job summary

Egis Canada in Calgary, AB, is seeking a Lead Electrical Engineer to head electrical systems development for infrastructure and aviation projects. Based in Calgary, you will lead planning, design, coordination, and field verification work. The role requires 10+ years of experience, a P.Eng.

with APEGA, and proven leadership of multidisciplinary teams. You will mentor engineers, supervise design reviews, and ensure compliance with CEC and local standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering and P.Eng. designation with APEGA.
• Minimum 10 years of electrical engineering experience with leadership on aviation, infrastructure, or building projects.
• Strong knowledge of the Canadian Electrical Code (CEC) and related standards.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary design teams and client-facing project delivery.
• Proficient in AutoCAD and electrical design tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead the electrical design and implementation of systems for infrastructure and aviation projects.
• Prepare and review engineering design documentation, specifications, calculations, and reports.
• Conduct design reviews and technical evaluations to support QA and risk management.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary activities to integrate electrical systems with broader designs.
• Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and guidance to junior engineers.
• Support regulatory submissions and ensure compliance with codes and municipal requirements.
