Job summary

WSP in Canada (Calgary) is seeking a Senior/Lead Document Controller to provide leadership, coordination, and technical guidance across multiple projects, ensuring the integrity and quality of critical project information.

Reporting to the Senior Document Control Team Leader, you will mentor team members, drive consistent processes, manage risk, and collaborate with engineering, procurement, construction and project management teams to support successful project outcomes.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and coordinate the work of document control professionals across multiple projects.
• Strong understanding of document control principles, records management practices, and project information management systems.
• Proven ability to build productive relationships with project teams, clients, contractors, and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of Document Controllers, fostering collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
• Coordinate document control activities across multiple concurrent projects, ensuring accurate and timely information management.
• Drive consistency in document control processes, procedures, systems, and quality standards across project teams.
• Delegate and prioritize workloads to support project schedules, client commitments, and business objectives.
• Review and monitor document control deliverables, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and adherence to project requirements.
• Partner with engineering, procurement, construction, and project management teams to support efficient project execution.
• Identify risks, resource constraints, and process improvement opportunities, escalating issues and recommending solutions as needed.
• Contribute to knowledge sharing, succession planning, and capability development within the document control team.
