Job summary

Agilus by Synergie is seeking a Senior Document Controller for Calgary's oil and gas sector. You will act as the SME for document management processes, systems, and governance across major projects, ensuring lifecycle integrity and compliance.

You will drive continuous improvement, support digital transformation, and oversee EDMS usage while coordinating with engineering, construction, and operations teams. This is a one‑year, in‑office role in Downtown Calgary.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in document control/records management within engineering or capital projects.
• Experience with EDMS tools such as OpenText, Aconex, SharePoint or Bluebeam.
• Technical diploma or certificate in Information Management or related field.
• Excellent communication and cross‑functional collaboration skills.
• Experience in EPC/oil & gas project environments.

Responsibilities

• Oversee document control lifecycle end‑to‑end across projects.
• Ensure compliance with governance standards and project procedures.
• Maintain accuracy, integrity, and accessibility of engineering records.
• Support project teams through initiation, construction, turnover and closeout.
• Manage transmittals, as‑built packages, QA/QC records and deliverables.
• Serve as the primary resource for document control systems and metadata.
• Develop reporting and dashboards to monitor effectiveness.
• Drive continuous improvement for compliance and efficiency.
