Job summary

ABL Employment is seeking an experienced Senior Dispatcher to oversee daily dispatch operations for our transportation client in Ontario. You will coordinate drivers, communicate with customers and carriers, and ensure on-time, compliant service delivery.

The role requires at least 5 years in dispatch within logistics, supervision experience, and strong knowledge of TMS systems. Evening night schedule from Wednesday to Sunday is provided, with a competitive salary and benefits.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required; post-secondary education in Logistics or related field is an asset.
• Minimum 5 years of dispatch experience in transportation or logistics.
• Experience supervising or leading a team.
• Strong knowledge of transportation operations, fleet management, and regulations.
• Experience with transportation software such as TMW, PeopleNet, GPS tracking, or similar systems.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and coordinate daily dispatch operations to ensure efficient and timely deliveries.
• Communicate with drivers, customers, carriers, and suppliers to support load execution.
• Monitor driver activity, shipment status, and route performance using transportation management systems.
• Provide leadership to dispatch staff while supporting operational priorities.
• Respond to service issues, delays, and operational challenges promptly.
• Maintain records and updates within TMS, PeopleNet, and related systems.
• Support driver safety, regulatory compliance, and company policy adherence.
• Keep customers informed through proactive communication and status updates.
