Job summary

National Bank of Canada is seeking a Senior Data Solutions Architect within Wealth Management Solution and Data Architecture. You will lead definition and implementation of innovative data solutions, guiding data flows, models, AI integration, and governance to enhance value and automation across the investment domain.

Qualifications

• Profile focused on data architecture with complementary solution-architecture expertise.
• Strong experience in conceptual, logical and physical data modelling for transactional and informational contexts.
• Solid knowledge of AI applied to systems architecture, including generative AI, language models, augmented search and vector databases.
• Understanding of reference data, master data, governance, data security and access management concepts.
• Proficiency in data integration and exploitation approaches (APIs, streaming, ETL, BI, analytics, data warehouses, data virtualization).
• Bachelor’s degree plus 8 years of relevant experience; data management certifications are assets.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of data dimensions of solutions, including flows, sources, modelling and exposure.
• Determine data integration and exposure approaches for the investment domain with long-term sustainability.
• Contribute to governance and data quality processes.
• Align solutions with functional and non-functional requirements and data growth.
• Document data solutions and maintain related artifacts (flows, models, value domains).
• Incorporate AI opportunities into data architectures to enhance value and automation.
• Collaborate to ensure secure, responsible AI use in data solutions, including governance and data protection.
• Assess AI use cases in data (augmented search, enrichment, automated analysis).
• Support design and production of physical data structures.
