Manulife is seeking a Senior Data Architect to define and lead the data architecture strategy across the organization, enabling trusted, scalable, and AI-ready data capabilities. The role collaborates with business and technology stakeholders to design data platforms, governance, and modernization efforts while remaining hands-on where deep expertise is needed.

The office is in Toronto with a hybrid work model (3 days in the office, 2 days from home).

Qualifikationen

• 10+ years of experience architecting, designing, and delivering large-scale data solutions.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse, Databricks, Spark or comparable technologies.
• SQL and NoSQL databases; proficient in Python, PySpark, Java, or Scala.
• Strong enterprise data architecture knowledge, data modeling, and data integration patterns.
• Experience designing batch, streaming, and event-driven data solutions for analytics, ML, and AI workloads.
• Knowledge of MDM, data governance, data lineage, and data quality.
• Proven experience leading cloud-based data platform implementations and modernization.
• Ability to lead architecture strategy and communicate complex trade-offs to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Aufgaben

• Define and evolve the segment data architecture vision, standards, principles, and roadmap.
• Design scalable Data Lake, Data Warehouse, and Lakehouse architectures for analytics, operational, and AI workloads.
• Establish patterns for data integration, metadata management, governance, and data products.
• Lead data modernization, migration, and cloud transformation initiatives.
• Lead design and implementation of data pipelines and cloud-native data platforms.
• Provide hands-on technical leadership for data ingestion, transformation, orchestration, and performance optimization.
• Design scalable batch, streaming, and near real-time data processing solutions.
• Ensure data is secure, governed, and compliant with regulatory requirements.
• Partner with governance, risk, and security teams for trusted data use.
• Design AI-ready data architectures supporting ML and Generative AI.
• Provide architecture governance across strategic data initiatives.
• Lead data architecture reviews and technology evaluations.
