Job summary

National Bank of Canada seeks a Chief Analyst for the AI Factory to lead development and operations of innovative AI systems, including generative AI, in Montreal. You will translate business needs into functional requirements, draft analyses, and mentor interns and junior analysts.

You will work in a hybrid environment with a culture of continuous learning, leveraging tools like Jira/Confluence, Python and SQL to drive AI transformation across the bank.

Qualifications

• University degree in a related field and several years of relevant experience as an analyst in a technology-based ecosystem
• Experience in developing and deploying AI systems
• Knowledge of agile development methodologies
• Experience in producing user stories
• Knowledge of agile methodology (Scrum, Kanban, safe) and Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket)
• Proficiency in Python, SQL and AI libraries
• Experience in SQL database administration

Responsibilities

• Develop innovative AI systems that generate competitive advantages
• Understand and challenge business needs and convert them into functional requirements
• Draft detailed functional analyses and validate them
• Perform functional tests and assist the test team
• Diagnose and resolve problems related to solutions
• Coach interns and junior analysts
