You will oversee demand planning activities for your assigned product families in your business unit. You will also lead the demand review process and drive interactions with cross-functional teams.

How you will contribute

  • Partner with the modelling team for the generation of statistical forecasting.
  • Manage, coach, and develop a team.
  • Review standard consumption versus forecast at the customer and total product levels, liaising with replenishment and sales revenue planning to manage potential availability issues and impacts of under consumption.
  • Drive strong linkages with commercial, customer collaboration, modelling, order fulfillment teams, and supply planning, including innovation and equity.
  • Drive continuous capability building in the demand planning team for planning improvement.
What you will bring

A desire to drive your future and accelerate your career, along with the following experience and knowledge:

  • Comprehensive supply chain, economic, financial, or logistics experience and commercial awareness in a fast-moving consumer goods or CPG environment.
  • Openness to learn new ways of working and willingness to use new tools.
  • Experience driving demand review and participating in an IBP cycle.
  • Able to influence cross-functional teams, work on key priorities, and improve the plan.
  • Able to build effective teams.
  • Knowledge of leading practice demand planning and end-to-end supply chain concepts.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, verbal, and written communication skills.
More about this role

The Customer Demand Planner is a key contributor to the Demand Planning segment of the Integrated Business Planning process, leading short to mid-term forecast planning (0-15 months) in APOA, with key inputs from CBT and external customers where applicable. This role facilitates multiple forums, generating insights and providing demand inputs accordingly. The forecast output supports Revenue reporting and Production Planning. The role partners with the Category Demand Planning team and is a joint owner of gap reconciliation between category and customer forecasts.

This position may also lead root cause analysis, innovation management, or other ad hoc initiatives. It interfaces with Sales, Sales Strategy, Category Demand Planning, Supply Planning, and others to communicate forecasts that drive our Operating Plan and support key metrics and business results. An understanding of Supply Chain principles is required.

What you need to know about this position

This customer-facing role works closely with the Sales team and customer demand counterparts to generate and align forecasts for all categories. The role is responsible for achieving customer forecast performance targets.

What extra ingredients you will bring
  • Build an unbiased, unconstrained CBT recommended category/PPG/SKU APO shipment forecast using cross-functional inputs, consumption/shipment analysis, and overlays for Revenue reporting, Production Planning, and downstream deployment.
  • Review the disaggregated short-term demand plan in APO, including SKU/location mix and weekly pacing.
  • Maintain key parameters in APO such as SKU mix, innovations, phase-outs, and discontinuations.
  • Ensure accurate forecast passing through the APO system with proper communication to Operations as part of the S&OE process.
  • Facilitate communication of updates/exceptions, explain variances vs. prior year, contracts, and estimates, and report on forecast accuracy.
  • Drive forecast alignment with external customers, leveraging data to influence forecasts and align demand profiles for new SKUs and promotions.
  • Perform root-cause analysis for continuous improvement in service levels, forecast errors, and bias, shared during monthly KPI reviews.
  • Provide thought leadership and report insights to strengthen segment, brand, and category efforts by customer.
  • Clearly communicate assumptions, drivers, risks, and opportunities within and outside the forecast plan.
  • Present data to cross-functional teams to support new product launches, customer intelligence, and rationalization, influencing execution decisions.
Education / Certifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree is required
Job specific requirements

  • Proficiency in data analytics and fact-based insight gathering based on trends.
  • Experience leading consensus forums with negotiation and influencing skills.
