Desjardins is seeking a Section Manager, Contested Matters, to lead nationwide teams handling complex claims. You will set strategic direction, coach staff, and partner with life and health claims teams to ensure efficient processing and high client satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• Minimum six years of relevant experience, including two years in a management role.
• Experience in managing teams and leading complex initiatives.
• Bilingual French and English communications required.

Responsibilities

• Manage, motivate and develop a team handling contested and complex claims nationwide.
• Take responsibility for team performance, results and skills development.
• Help supervisor organize work and plan operational activities for the unit.
• Coach and guide team members in strategic decisions on highly complex claims.
• Collaborate with life and health insurance claims teams for efficient management.
• Develop, implement and monitor the unit’s action plan aligned with strategic directions.
• Define and enhance services to maximize business results and client satisfaction.
• Identify opportunities for improvement and implement innovative solutions.
• Implement management practices supporting engagement, talent development and change management.
• Ensure sound management of performance and effective reporting.
