Job summary

Desjardins Group seeks a claims technician to review claims, establish guidelines for settlements, and provide discipline-specific support for medium-complexity claims. You will adapt to changing cases, use sound decision-making, and prepare action plans based on claim reviews.

Responsibilities include providing technical support for contract enforcement, helping claims advisors develop technical skills, analyzing settlements, researching conflicts, and revising independent adjuster claims.

Qualifications

• College diploma in a related field.
• A minimum of three years of relevant experience.
• Knowledge of French is required.

Job description

As a claims technician, you help review claims and establish guidelines for the claims settlement process. You serve as technical expert and provide discipline-specific support for the settlement of medium-complexity claims and the development of technical skills. Adaptability is essential to this position. You draw on your sound decision-making skills to help solve technically complex problems and prepare action plans based on claim reviews. More specifically, you will be required to:
