Job summary

Axiom Builders in Calgary, AB, is seeking a Superintendent who balances relationship building with driving a schedule. You will keep people accountable, hit milestones, and foster long-term connections with your team and trades.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years as an assistant or superintendent on multi-family projects, with proven leadership, safety focus, and the ability to guide a project from pre-construction through completion.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as assistant or superintendent on multi-family projects.
• Proven track record from pre-construction to completion.
• Experience with infrastructure, roadworks or bridges is a plus.
• Ability to build relationships with field staff, clients and external stakeholders.
• Ability to lead and motivate site crews of various sizes and scopes.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Project Manager and provide field updates and reporting.
• Oversee subcontractor safety and scope of work.
• Ensure adequate staffing to meet safety, schedule and quality goals.
• Identify design deficiencies, schedule interruptions, or project issues and advise accordingly.
• Administer contracts, subcontracts, purchase orders, site instructions and change notices.
• Supervise trades and labourers with clear direction and feedback.
• Support CSO and head office in enforcing safety policies.
• Coordinate with Head Office and provide requested reports.
