Job description

A well known Residential Developer focusing on low-rise multifamily new builds and stacked town homes seeks a Site Superintendent to manage on‑site coordination for multi‑family, stacked town, and apartment construction projects in Calgary.

Position Overview

As Site Superintendent, you will ensure project specifications are strictly followed, work proceeds on schedule, and stays within budget.

Essential Functions

• Schedule subcontractors, consultants, and vendors on the critical path.
• Perform quality control duties and maintain daily written logs.
• Communicate with the project team regarding change orders and conflicts.
• Ensure subcontractors execute and comply with their scope of work.
• Coordinate inspections with local jurisdictions.
• Walk all units daily to monitor activities and assist future scheduling.
• Establish and enforce job site quality control programs.
• Ensure all safety documentation is completed and enforce safety on site.
• Address and correct deficiencies identified by the project team.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of site superintendent experience.
• Experience in high‑volume multi‑residential or single‑home construction.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple project builds simultaneously.
• Thorough knowledge of construction scheduling and trade scopes.
• Ability to read and interpret IFC drawings, site instructions, contracts, safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Experience with four‑storey wood frame construction is an advantage.

Compensation & Benefits

Basic salary of $115,000 plus bonus incentives up to $35,000 - $40,000 per annum.

Company vehicle or $1,000 vehicle allowance per month.

Total compensation approximately $160,000 per annum.
