We are seeking a talented individual to join our Career Consulting team at Mercer as a Senior Compensation Consultant. This role can be based in Toronto or Montreal. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office. The Senior Compensation Consultant will support companies in the design and execution of performance measurement and reward strategies that reinforce business objectives, working closely with a premier client base consisting of large complex Canadian and global organizations.

We will count on you to:

  • Structure, direct, review, and interpret analyses performed by project teams.
  • Structure and/or review client deliverables.
  • Provide consulting services to Compensation Committees and/or senior management on a variety of remuneration issues, including competitiveness of pay and benefits, performance measurement, and governance and regulatory implications.
  • Provide consulting services on broader Human Capital issues.
  • Generate revenue through development of new client relationships and build and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Provide leadership, mentoring, and guidance to team members.

What you need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • At least 8+ years’ relevant work experience in compensation.
  • Excellent analytical, writing, and presentation skills.
  • Strong financial and business acumen.
  • Knowledge of HR business processes.
  • Strong finance and accounting skills.
  • Proven project management skills and creative problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
