Job summary

TBT Engineering seeks a Senior Civil Engineer to lead and contribute to a wide range of infrastructure projects in Ottawa. You will apply advanced technical knowledge in planning, design, and delivery, including site development, transportation, drainage, and municipal systems.

The ideal candidate holds a Civil Engineering degree and P.Eng. registration with 10+ years of experience, proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, strong leadership, and client communication skills to mentor staff and ensure

Qualifications

Degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution.
P.Eng. registration.
Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D or equivalent.
Knowledge of codes, standards and municipal requirements.
Strong project coordination and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

Manage and oversee civil engineering projects from concept through design and construction.
Prepare and review designs, drawings, reports, estimates, specifications and tender documents.
Conduct technical analysis on grading, drainage, utilities, roads and other civil infra.
Lead coordination with clients, consultants, contractors and regulators.
Mentor junior/intermediate staff and support professional development.
Support project management tasks including budgeting, scheduling and resources.
Ensure compliance with applicable standards and municipal requirements.
Contribute to proposals and business development with technical input.
