Job summary

TBT Engineering is seeking an experienced Civil Engineer to lead municipal infrastructure projects in Canada. You will manage concept to construction, review designs and cost estimates, and coordinate with clients, regulators, and contractors.

The role emphasizes mentorship of junior staff, adherence to codes, and successful project delivery. A P.Eng. and 10+ years of relevant experience are required; compensation reflects experience and qualifications.

Qualifications

Position Description

Lead and contribute to a wide range of Municipal Engineering projects while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams in a dynamic and growth-oriented environment. Apply advanced technical knowledge in the planning, design, and delivery of infrastructure projects, including site development, transportation, drainage, and municipal systems. Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and quality oversight while supporting the development of junior staff and ensuring projects are executed efficiently, accurately, and in accordance with professional and regulatory standards.

Position Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee civil engineering projects from concept through to detailed design and construction.
• Prepare and review engineering designs, drawings, reports, cost estimates, specifications, and tender documents.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong technical expertise in Municipal Engineering design and project delivery, supported by a degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution and registration as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.). The role requires 10+ years of relevant experience in infrastructure, land development, or municipal engineering, with proficiency in design and modeling software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D or equivalent. Candidates should possess solid knowledge of applicable codes, standards, and municipal requirements, along with proven skills in project coordination, client communication, and team leadership.

This position is classified as full time. Rate of pay will be commensurate with related experience and qualifications ($125,840.00 per year +).
