Job summary

TBT Engineering is seeking an experienced Civil Engineer to lead municipal infrastructure projects in Canada. You will manage concept to construction, review designs and cost estimates, and coordinate with clients, regulators, and contractors.

The role emphasizes mentorship of junior staff, adherence to codes, and successful project delivery. A P.Eng. and 10+ years of relevant experience are required; compensation reflects experience and qualifications.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution.
• 13
• Registered Professional Engineer (P.Eng.).
• 10+ years of relevant experience in infrastructure, land development, or municipal engineering.
• Proficient in AutoCAD, Civil 3D or equivalent.
• Strong knowledge of codes, standards, and municipal requirements.
• Experience in project coordination, client communication, and team leadership.

Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee civil engineering projects from concept to construction.
• Prepare and review designs, drawings, reports, cost estimates, specifications, and tender documents.
• Conduct technical analysis and provide input on grading, drainage, utilities, roads, and infrastructure.
• Lead coordination with clients, consultants, contractors, and regulatory agencies for delivery.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to junior and intermediate staff, promoting technical growth.
• Support project management tasks, including budgeting, scheduling, and resource planning.
• Ensure compliance with applicable engineering standards, codes, and municipal requirements.
• Contribute to proposal development and business development initiatives through client engagement and technical input.
