Sr. Business System Analyst, wealth management, contract position

Number of openings: 1, 6-month initial contract, possible extension

Must be eligible to work in Canada

Hybrid position, 2-3 days/week onsite in Toronto, non-negotiable

Roles and responsibilities:

• Lead and own product requirements, liaise with business and technology stakeholders to document functional and non-functional requirements of critical IT systems.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define non-functional requirements and key functional aspects.
• Understand Business Requirements Document (BRD) and translate into System Requirements Specifications (SRS) that are technologically implementable.
• Participate in agile scrums and sprints.
• Work within the team to ensure requirements are accurately disseminated and technology delivery is precise.

Must-have skills, experience, and qualifications:

• 12-15 years of IT experience, with at least 5 years in a Business System Analyst role.
• Well-versed in the wealth management business domain.
• Expertise in system visualization techniques such as Use Case, System Context, Process Maps, Data Flow diagrams.
• Hands-on experience in documenting IT system requirements.
• Strong understanding of non-functional requirements.
• Experience working in Agile environments (Sprint/Scrum).
• Proficient with MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and exposure to RDBMS queries.

Exposure to MFDA/IIROC (CIRO) standards is an added advantage.
