Job summary

The role requires 7+ years of experience, a P.Eng., and strong skills in HVAC, plumbing, and life-safety systems, with a focus on regulatory compliance and project execution.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of building mechanical systems engineering experience.
• Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation.
• Experience with HVAC, plumbing, fire detection/suppression, life safety, electrical, and lighting systems.
• Knowledge of Ontario Building Code, National Fire Code, and Ontario Electrical Code.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and communicate with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Manage project scope, schedules, deliverables, and quality control throughout engineering project execution.
• Perform heating and cooling load calculations and HVAC system sizing for ductwork, piping, and equipment.
• Prepare technical documentation, including reports, specifications, and drawings.
• Conduct building system inspections and condition assessments of mechanical and electrical infrastructure.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure technical consistency.
• Support client meetings and field investigations for reserve fund studies and assessments.
