Job summary

LEA Associates South Asia Private Limited seeks an Intermediate/Senior Bridge Engineer to lead planning, design, evaluation, and rehabilitation of transportation structures in Ontario. You will prepare reports, perform analyses, and coordinate with teams and clients while mentoring junior engineers.

The role emphasizes design excellence, client-focused solutions, and collaboration within a hybrid work environment in Markham, Ontario. PE licensure and 5+ years of P.Eng. experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Structural Engineering.
• Licensed Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) with the Professional Engineers of Ontario (PEO).
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a P.Eng.
• 10+ years of total professional experience in the design, evaluation, and rehabilitation of bridge, transportation, or transit-related structures.
• Proven experience managing projects for MTO, TTC, Metrolinx, or municipal clients is a strong asset.
• Advanced proficiency with structural analysis and design software such as SAP2000, MIDAS Civil, CSiBridge, MathCAD, AutoCAD, or MicroStation.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the design of transportation structures under the guidance of a Senior Engineer.
• Assist with design and rehabilitation of existing transportation structures, applying established practices.
• Prepare structural design reports, evaluation reports, calculations, drawings, and other documentation.
• Support preparation and review of contract documents, including provisions, tender items, cost estimates, and working day estimates.
• Provide technical support to project teams and stakeholders, coordinating with senior staff on complex challenges.
• Conduct engineering analyses, calculations, and design reviews to ensure code compliance.
