Job summary

Stantec in Canada (Ontario GTA) is seeking an established structural project leader to guide transportation structures programs from planning through delivery. You will supervise a multidisciplinary team, coordinate with clients, and ensure safety, quality and schedule on bridge and highway projects.

The role requires a P.Eng and 10+ years leading large transportation projects; field visits will be routine.

Qualifications

Experience in project management and leading multidisciplinary teams.
P.Eng and 10+ years leading large transportation structures projects.
Civil/structural engineering degree (B.A.Sc. or B.Eng.).

Responsibilities

Act as project manager, structural lead and designer for transportation assignments.
Attend site visits for information gathering, construction and review.
Coordinate with clients and other disciplines including highways and environmental planning.
Analyze and evaluate design solutions for bridges, culverts and foundations.
Provide direction to project team members and support staff.
Direct CAD team for drawings and deliverables before submission to client.
Prepare and review technical reports, tender documents and cost estimates.
Provide tender evaluations and construction engineering services.
Ensure work stays within project budgets and schedules.
Mentor junior staff and contribute to business development.
