Job summary

LEA Consulting Ltd. in Markham, Ontario, is seeking an Intermediate Bridge Engineer to plan, design, evaluate, and rehabilitate transportation structures across Ontario. You will work with Senior Engineers and Project Managers to deliver practical, innovative solutions while mentoring junior staff.

You will develop design solutions, prepare technical reports and contract documents, perform analyses, manage tasks, coordinate with teams and clients, and participate in site visits. A P.Eng.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Structural Engineering and P.Eng. with the Ontario PE license (PEO).
• Minimum 5 years of professional P.Eng. experience and 10+ years in bridge/transportation design and rehabilitation.
• Experience managing projects for MTO, TTC, Metrolinx, or municipal clients is a strong asset.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to design of transportation structures under guidance of a Senior Engineer.
• Assist with design and rehabilitation of existing transportation structures with practical solutions.
• Prepare Structural Design Reports, Evaluation Reports, calculations, drawings, and docs.
• Support contract documents including provisions, quantity takeoffs, and cost estimates.
• Lead or support project coordination, client meetings, site visits, and deliverables.
