Job summary

Affi is seeking a Software Engineer to design and build a next-generation reliability platform for production systems, blending distributed systems with AI-assisted development to help teams understand, debug, and improve service health.

This remote-first role welcomes candidates across Canada. You will own delivery goals, collaborate across functions, and drive high-quality code while mentoring teammates and improving engineering standards.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience as a software engineer.
• Experience designing, developing and launching backend systems at scale.
• Experience shipping web apps with React or Vue.
• Practical use of LLMs or AI frameworks to enhance automation.

Responsibilities

• Own quarterly goals for your team and lead through ambiguity.
• Collaborate with product management, design and analytics in ideation and constraints.
• Identify issues and lead in solving them.
• Support operations and on-call activities to keep services healthy.
• Set and improve code review and design standards across teams.
• Mentor teammates and lead by example.
