Job summary

Jobgether is seeking a Senior Software Engineer – Ads Manager based in Canada to help build a self-service advertising platform for brands, agencies, and retailers. You will own high-impact engineering initiatives, scale backend services and APIs, and contribute to observability, AI-powered review workflows, and product quality.

You will work in a remote-first environment, mentor engineers, and shape architectural decisions while delivering reliable, data-driven solutions at scale.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience delivering production-ready software.
• Strong experience building and operating backend services and APIs with Ruby on Rails or Go.
• Relational databases and SQL knowledge including data modeling and performance tuning.
• Experience designing distributed, scalable, reliable systems.
• Ability to design, document, and maintain APIs and translate complex requirements into practical technical solutions.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end delivery of high-impact engineering projects from design to deployment.
• Design and maintain scalable backend services and APIs for advertising campaigns, creative management, and reporting.
• Improve the self-service advertising platform used by brands, agencies, and retailers.
• Drive onboarding, activation, platform health, and revenue growth initiatives.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineers to translate requirements into technical plans.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to engineering standards and processes.
