The University of Ottawa is hiring a manager to oversee daily operations, customer service and staff coordination for client services and sports facilities on the Main Campus. The role ensures a safe, inclusive and high‑performing environment, with a schedule from Thursday to Monday evenings.

Responsibilities include supervising daily operations, implementing client‑centered service, managing resources and assisting in recruitment and training of part‑time staff, while coordinating emergency

Formación

• University Degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
• Three years of supervision/operational experience in recreation or sports facilities.
• Three years of human resources management and team management experience.
• Bilingualism in French and English, with proficiency testing.
• Ability to meet strict deadlines in a high‑pressure environment.
• First Aid, CPR and AED certification.
• Experience with policies, procedures and regulations.

Responsabilidades

• Oversee daily operations of client services and sports facilities to ensure safety and inclusivity.
• Lead customer service initiatives, resolving issues and maintaining positive user experiences.
• Analyze usage trends and assist in budget‑efficient maintenance planning.
• Recruitment support and supervision of part‑time staff; ensure onboarding and performance management.
• Coordinate emergency response procedures and act as first responder when needed.
• Contribute to strategic planning and implement best practices for service delivery.
• Foster relationships with campus and community partners to expand programming.
• Represent the sector on committees and drive operational improvements.
• Prepare and present reports with insights to achieve operational objectives.
• Serve as lead liaison for guests and stakeholders during high‑visibility events.
