Industra Construction Corp. is seeking a Senior Accounts Payable Coordinator to join our Finance team in Surrey, reporting to the Director of Finance.

You will own full-cycle AP, manage high-volume vendor and subcontractor payables, and ensure accurate coding to jobs and GL accounts. You will help drive automation and leverage AI to improve AP efficiency, while supporting month-end close and ensuring compliance with provincial requirements.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive full-cycle Accounts Payable experience.
• Construction or project-based industry experience preferred.
• Knowledge of holdbacks and Builders Lien Act in BC.
• Experience with Viewpoint Spectrum or another construction ERP is an asset.
• Strong AP internal controls and fraud prevention practices.
• Post-secondary education in accounting or finance; CPA designation is an asset.

Responsabilités

• Own full-cycle AP for a high volume of vendor and subcontractor invoices with accurate coding.
• Perform two- and three-way matching against POs, receiving docs, subcontracts and change orders.
• Coordinate timely invoice approvals with project teams and vendors.
• Prepare weekly payment runs (EFT and cheque) with approvals and documentation.
• Maintain vendor master file and verify banking detail changes to prevent fraud.
• Administer subcontractor holdbacks under BC Builders Lien Act and related rules.
• Verify subcontractor compliance including WorkSafeBC letters and COIs.
• Review GST and PST treatment on invoices and manage PST exemptions and T5018 reporting.
• Support month-end and year-end close including AP-to-GL reconciliations.
• Prepare weekly AP aging and cash requirement reports for management.
• Identify opportunities for automation, AI and tech to improve AP processes.
• Serve as primary AP contact and provide backup across accounting.
