Job summary

Keyera Corp. in Calgary seeks a Senior Analyst, Liquids Infrastructure Analysis to lead the analyst team and ensure precise financial reporting across a portfolio of assets and contracts.

You will partner with Business Development, Commercial, Operations, Joint Venture partners and Finance leadership to drive forecasting, reporting, and process improvements while mentoring junior analysts and ensuring alignment with IFRS and internal controls.

Qualifications

• CPA designation or pursuing a professional accounting designation.
• 8+ years of progressive accounting and financial analysis experience.
• Experience leading, mentoring, or reviewing teams.
• Strong understanding of financial reporting, forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis.
• Experience with joint venture accounting is an asset.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Experience with e-One, Qbyte FM, Optix, TIPS, or similar financial systems is an asset.
• Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Customer focus and teamwork mindset.

THE POSITION

The Senior Analyst, Liquids Infrastructure Analysis provides technical leadership and oversight to the analyst team while maintaining responsibility for a portfolio of complex assets and commercial arrangements. This position serves as a senior resource within the group, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting, supporting business decision-making, and fostering the development of analysts across the team. The Senior Analyst partners closely with Business Development, Commercial, Operations, Joint Venture partners, and Finance leadership to support financial reporting, forecasting, commercial decisions, and continuous improvement initiatives.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Financial Analysis & Accounting

• Serve as the lead financial analyst for a portfolio of Liquids Infrastructure assets. Review and analyze monthly revenue, operating expenses, volumes, and key performance metrics, providing meaningful insights to management. Prepare and review accruals, joint venture allocations, equalizations, and other complex accounting activities. Ensure commercial arrangements are accurately reflected in financial reporting, forecasting models, and business processes. Review analysts work to ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance with accounting policies and internal controls. Partner with stakeholders to resolve complex accounting, reporting, and contractual matters. Support quarterly and annual financial reporting, audits, and special projects.

Business Support & Forecasting

• Coordinate annual budgeting and forecasting activities for assigned assets. Support business development initiatives through financial analysis and contract review. Ensure commercial agreements are appropriately incorporated into forecasts and reporting. Support strategic initiatives, acquisitions, audits, and ad hoc business requests.

Process Improvement & Controls

• Support compliance with IFRS, internal controls, and company policies. Identify and implement process improvements to enhance reporting quality and efficiency. Support system enhancements and maintain key process documentation.

Leadership

• Lead, mentor, and develop Financial Analysts within the Liquids Infrastructure Accounting team. Review and validate financial results, forecasts, reconciliations, and key deliverables. Support Senior Manager with coordinating workload, priorities, and month-end activities across the analyst team. Provide technical guidance on accounting treatment, commercial agreements, and reporting requirements. Support Senior Manager with training, and knowledge sharing initiatives. Act as the primary escalation point for complex accounting and commercial issues.

QUALIFICATIONS

• CPA designation or actively pursuing a professional accounting designation.
• 8+ years of progressive accounting and financial analysis experience.
