Job summary

Keyera is seeking a Fleet Analyst in Calgary to support the Commercial Rail Team with tank car fleet management, scheduling, tracking, and reporting. You will communicate with internal and external stakeholders and contribute to process improvements.

Ideal candidates have a degree in a related field and 3–5 years in logistics accounting, with strong Excel and system knowledge (eOne, GeoMetrix). This is a permanent role based in Calgary.

Qualifications

• A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Economics or Commerce.
• 3-5 years of experience in Logistics or NGL Marketing accounting.
• Strong analytical and reporting abilities.
• Excellent communication (oral and written) and organizational skills.
• Advanced computer skills in Excel and Microsoft Word.
• Working knowledge of logistics systems (e.g., GeoMetrix, Entero ONE) is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Learn and become familiarized with logistical, railway, and terminal operations.
• Focus on customer service to be a trusted advisor to Keyera's internal and external stakeholders.
• Support fleet management operations through the administration of rail assets.
• Develop railcar scheduling skills to support the transportation of Keyera's various commodities.
• Analyze railcar transit data and shipment patterns to predict future tendencies.
• Identifying operational issues and developing plans to support resolution.

THE POSITION

Keyera is currently seeking a Fleet Analyst to join our Calgary based Commercial Operations team. This exciting and dynamic role will be responsible for supporting the Commercial Rail Team with tank car fleet management and related logistics functions, including rail car scheduling, tracking, tracing, various ad hoc reporting and administrative initiatives. The individual is required to communicate information effectively to internal and external stakeholders.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Learn and become familiarized with logistical, railway, and terminal operations.
• Focus on customer service to become a trusted advisor to Keyera's internal and external stakeholders.
• Support fleet management operations through the administration of rail assets.
• Develop railcar scheduling skills to support the transportation of Keyera's various commodities.
• Analyze railcar transit data and shipment patterns to predict future tendencies.
• Analysis and continuous optimization of fleet costs.
• Identifying operational issues and developing plans to support resolution.
• Critical thinking towards process improvements.
• Sharing ideas to present opportunities for continuous departmental and organizational improvement.
• Requesting and submitting shop disposition from the lessors.
• Provide back-up support and coverage for the Rail Team.
• Communicate effectively with customers.
• To learn and be proficient in Keyera's systems, including but not limited to GeoMetrix and Entero ONE.
• Ad hoc problem resolution (logistical, contracts, billing, etc.).

QUALIFICATIONS

The successful candidate will be well-organized, energetic, and service oriented with the following qualifications:

• A bachelor's degree in a related field: Accounting, Economics or Commerce.
• 3-5 years of experience in Logistics or NGL Marketing accounting.
• An ambassador of Keyera's Culture.
• Strong analytical skills with proven ability to leverage technology.
• Excellent communication (oral and written), interpersonal and organization skills.
• Advanced computer skills in Excel and Microsoft word.
• Self-motivated individual with a positive attitude and demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks in a timely and organized manner.
• Ability to process multiple transactions in an accurate and timely manner.
• Working knowledge of marketing and logistics systems (eg eOne, GeoMetrix) is an asset
• Knowledge of shipping dangerous goods by rail considered an asset.
• Experience in the oil and gas industry and an understanding of the midstream sector is preferred.
