Job summary

Government of Alberta in Edmonton seeks a Senior Agency Analyst to provide strategic advice on governance, accountability, and compliance for the ministry’s ABCs. You will support development of MRDs, CoCs, and governance instruments, and coordinate recruitment for tribunals and boards.

The role requires strong legislative interpretation, policy analysis, and stakeholder advisory skills, with a university degree and several years of related experience.

Qualifications

• University graduation in a related field (Public Administration, Political Science, Social Science, Business, Law, etc).
• 4 years progressively responsible related experience; or equivalencies.
• Experience drafting policy, reports and governance documents.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic advice on governance, accountability and compliance for ABCs.
• Support APAGA compliance and development of MRDs and CoCs.
• Assist recruitment and appointment processes for ABCs and tribunals.
• Prepare Ministerial Orders, memos and governance instruments.
• Engage with Legal Counsel to ensure compliance with legislation.
