Job summary

Government of Alberta is seeking a Governance Coordinator in Edmonton to monitor capital programs, review documentation, and ensure adherence to standards and policies. The role supports secretariat duties for committees and coordinates updates across teams.

You will work with internal and external stakeholders, drive continuous improvement, and contribute to guideline enhancements within capital program manuals. Excellent communication and analytical skills are essential.

Qualifications

  • University degree or equivalent education in a related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of progressively responsible related experience.

Responsibilities

  • Organize cross-ministry meetings and produce meeting materials (agendas, minutes).
  • Prepare briefings, action requests and recommendations on program issues.
  • Interpret and assess stakeholder compliance with policies and regulations.
  • Initiate and prepare correspondence, reports and briefing materials.
  • Consult with directors on best practices to achieve goals and strategies.
  • Develop and implement follow-up strategies to assess program achievement.
