Job summary

BDO Canada LLP in Vancouver is seeking a Senior Administrative Professional to join our Credits and Incentives team. You will support a team of Partners and Professionals, manage onboarding, and coordinate client acceptance procedures.

The role requires strong Microsoft Office skills, ability to handle confidential information, and a client-service mindset. You will draft documents, track CRA requests, and maintain CRM data to ensure efficient service delivery.

Qualifications

  • Senior admin or similar role experience.
  • Office Admin diploma or equivalent considered an asset.
  • Experience at a professional services firm an asset.
  • Strong MS Office skills (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Support business development by coordinating meetings and client onboarding.
  • Onboard new clients including CRA access and client portal setup.
  • Draft, review and file documents related to CRA requests.
  • Maintain Excel sheets and CRM records with up-to-date information.
  • Assist Partners and Professionals with scheduling and meetings.

Your Opportunity

Our Vancouver Office is looking for a Senior Administrative Professional to join our Credits and Incentives team. This is for an existing vacancy, and the successful candidate will own the following responsibilities:

  • Support business development by coordinating meetings for inbound requests for new business and initiating our internal client acceptance procedures
  • Onboarding new clients, including ensuring access to CRA My Business Account Portal and BDO's Client Portal
  • Perform administrative tasks related to the department's ongoing operations, such as:
    • Drafting documents, contracts, requests for information
    • Reviewing and uploading responses to official CRA requests
    • Coordinating with the firm to ensure claims are filed, and status sheets are up to date
    • Accessing and updating information in Excel worksheets and Microsoft Dynamics Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems
  • Support a team of Partners and Professionals, which may include planning and organizing internal appointments, conferences, and meetings.
  • Contribute positively by reviewing, copy editing, and providing input and oversight on technical and financial drafts prepared by others.
  • Communicating and exchanging information with other departments and firm resources.

Your experience and education
  • You have experience working in a senior administrative or similar role
  • You have an Office Administration diploma or other relevant education an asset
  • Prior working experience at a professional services firm an asset
  • You have thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office computer programs (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
  • You have the ability to prioritize workload and the flexibility to manage multiple tasks
  • You are able to work quickly and take on more responsibilities over time
  • You have the ability to work in a deadline-driven work setting and deal with confidential information
  • You have strong problem solving, analytical, and communication skills both written and oral
  • You value teamwork, client service, and quality in detailed work
  • You have excellent written and oral communication

The expected salary range for this position is $45,000 - $75,000 annually
