Job summary

BDO Canada is seeking an Insolvency Counsellor to join the Personal Debt Solutions team in-office in Mississauga. You will assist debtors and creditors on bankruptcies, provide BIA counselling, and review documentation for compliance with insolvency duties.

The ideal candidate has a CAIRP Practical course in Insolvency Counseling and at least two years of relevant experience, with strong communication and detail-oriented skills for a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of CAIRP Practical course on Insolvency Counseling.
• Two or more years of relevant work experience in an Insolvency or Credit Counseling or other relevant areas.
• Great interpersonal skills to deal with team members, debtors, and creditors.
• Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication skills to respond to different situations.
• Strong attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
• Takes personal ownership and responsibility for the quality and timeliness of work.
• Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word & Excel.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
• A team player who can also work independently.

Your Opportunity

The salary range for this position is $40,000-$69,000 annually.
