The role centers on project accounting, cost analysis, and month-end reporting to support financial operations and project performance. Qualifications

• 3-6 years of progressive accounting experience with exposure to month-end close activities.
• Experience in manufacturing, construction, or project-based environments is preferred.
• Experience with project accounting, job costing, and inventory is an asset.
• CPA designation or CPA-in-Progress is considered an asset but not required.
• Strong ERP and Excel skills with the ability to manage large volumes of financial data.
• Strong analytical skills with a keen attention to detail and accuracy.
• An approachable, team-oriented attitude and excellent communication skills to work effectively across all areas of the business.
• A proactive mindset with a desire to grow into future leadership opportunities within the finance function.

Responsibilities

• Prepare month-end journal entries and account reconciliations.
• Maintain balance sheet schedules and supporting working papers.
• Manage project setup and project cost tracking.
• Perform project costing, cost reporting, and variance analysis.
• Complete monthly inventory costing and inventory reconciliations.
• Reconcile accounts receivable and monitor collections activity.
• Perform accounts payable, credit card, and GST reconciliations.
• Maintain the fixed asset register and calculate monthly depreciation.
• Partner with operations and project teams to support informed business decisions.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and increased reporting efficiencies.
